Hairdo.

Instead of investigating why my washing machine is making a very strange noise, I'm going to write about my haircut.

This is kind of a big deal. I've had long-ish hair for like... 13 years. Then, in a stroke of madness (or maybe just a stroke), I agreed to let my hairdresser friend cut off most all of my hair. It was a mildly impulsive decision, and I'm not really an impulsive person, unless it come to buying shoes. (Also, I regret the stroke joke. Strokes are no laughing matter. That being said, I'm still posting it.)

Anyway, I tried out one of those websites that "helps" you "visualize" the "haircut" of your "choice." Those words are in quotations, because, as you can see from the following picture, the end product was FAR from the desired look.

Yeah. Take that in. Brilliant, I know.

Anyway, I turned to a slightly more realistic option: baby Kaarin. I had short hair when I was a baby, and I was super cute then, so what could go wrong? (Yes, I am being oh-so-full of myself. And I have every right to. I was a darn cute baby.)

Unnaturally adorable, right? I thought so. Anyway, I went on the with the hair-cutting. I ended up having enough hair to donate, which was very cool and good Samaritan-y of me. (I'm gloating again.)

Before

Why yes, I have had a few vodka cranberries. Why do you ask?

After

This is was the "day after haircut" style, and the humidity on that hike was not so kind to my new hair.

Anyway, I think I like it. At the moment it looks like I'm 45 and trying to hold on to my youth by styling my hair to resemble a mushroom, but I think I am rocking it.

Who knew I could write an entire post about my hair?! Yikes.

Rather Pathetic.

My place is in quite a pathetic state. I am in quite a predicament--now that I've assumed care of Chester, my house has been overrun by guinea pigs. (Read: I now have two guinea pigs and am one step closer to becoming even more of a hermit.)

Molly

Chester

The pigs have learned to yell in unison. To illustrate my point, I present the following onomatopoeia:
Wheeee WHEEEEP WHEEEP HEEEEEE WHEEEP WHEEEEP

Oh dear I just got distracted by... ...I can't remember. Perhaps I should be going. The meth stench from my next-door neighbor is beginning to permeate into my house so I must go light some incense. Oh, yeah, no, I'm not kidding about the meth neighbors. It's July 1st. They should have been evicted already. I'm tired of inhaling their meth fumes, as I'm sure it's not helping my health. And if I subsequently have an unconscious desire for meth that emerges from my body like a phoenix and suddenly I become addicted to meth... I'm suing. My cousin's a lawyer. A meth lawyer. (Probably not.)

Yeah... okay. That's all.
